Omagh MFC annual auction at Gibson Primary School, Old Mountfield Road, Omagh.
Doors open at 7pm, auction starts at 8pm. A bigger turnout this year and lots of
useful/useless gear changed hands, well run as usual by the Omagh club!

bulletSaturday 20th September 2008

Dungannon MFC Open Day. The weather was kind and the
sunshine brought a crowd and lots of models on display.

This DC3 flew and sounded well.

This event always brings out an impressive display
of aircraft but the day isn't long enough for
all of them to fly.

Sports scale competition at Nutts Corner.

bulletWednesday 17th September 2008

NIAA meeting at Dungannon 8pm.

bulletSunday 14th September 2008

NI Area Aerobatics at New Buildings.

The weather forecast predicted heavy rain
but it held off until late afternoon and
thirteen pilots flew in the competition.

It was good to see three youngsters flying
and everyone enjoyed the competition which
ran very smoothly.

Stu Holland travelled from Dublin and flew this aircraft.

Electric power is taking over - this is the model
which Matthew flew, very impressive as usual.

Thanks to him for the effort he put into the
competition this year - he even took the young
pilots out for a demo flight afterwards.

And well done to the NWMAC club who hosted
the event and ran the BBQ, everyone had
a good day.

Robert and Matthew announced the results
and gave out the prizes.

The rain held off and the event was a great success
for all who attended.

All of the biplanes went up together for a great show.

Flying wings also had a few outings
and everyone had a good time.

John had his EDF Hawk, MIG and F15 flying in the
sunshine throughout the afternoon.

Seamus flew this L39, look closely to see the engine
silencer at the front and the landing lights on the
wingtip tanks.

Thanks to Seamus and his crew for a very
well organised event.

bulletSaturday/Sunday/Monday 23rd-25th August

BMFA Nationals at Barkston Heath.

Well done to the lads from the NI area - Sean,
Simon and Matthew did well again at IMAC;
NI was well represented at the funfly competition
and the Langford pilots flew a good jet show.

bulletSaturday 23rd August 2008

NDMAC fly-in at Kirkistown.

bulletSunday 17th August 2008

Helicopter day at Newbuildings.

bulletSaturday 16th August 2008

Bombardier Family Day display at the Ulster Folk and
Transport Museum organised by Banbridge MFC.

While we waited for the rain to stop, Matthew tried some
circuits in the tent with a mini butterfly.

As soon as the weather settled, David had his
Raptor 50 3D-ing around the trees.

Not to be outdone, Matthew did some 3D-ing with
an aeroplane.

We were very lucky to get a few hours flying as the
rain returned later and roads were flooded on the way home.
