Lots of autographs on the Kestrels box which
held 2 'Enticements', some thought that
it was a KFC carry out.......
Posh boxes below were used by some of
the visiting English pilots for air transport. |
These boxes were constructed especially for
the event, the one at the back could
be an aircraft from Transylvania..... |
 |
 |
Philip's 'Enticement' flying another very steady take-off.
He achieved some of the highest scores
in the competition. Some couldn't believe that he had
reached this level after just 2 months indoor flying. |
A superb venue for indoor flying, our first
opportunity
to fly in this hall. Many thanks to Dungannon MFC
for a well run event.
Everyone managed to stay on the correct
side of the flight line - Trevor had everyone
in place at the right time. |

 |
Concentration on every face as another flight gets under way.
Thanks to John (LHS) for the photographs.

Heli competition (based on BMFA 'A' cert) at
Nutts Corner.
A dry day, overcast and a cold breeze but lots
of enthusiastic competitors and spectators. |
 |
 |
With the contestants all signed in and the judges seated,
the competition began. It sounded simple enough, with the
'A' certificate hovering and 2 'lazy 8s', but maintaining
consistent height and accurate positioning wasn't easy
with a breeze blowing and judges watching! |
Twelve contestants entered the competition, with
visitors from Banbridge, Ballymoney, Langford,
Dungannon and Kestrels Model Flying Clubs. |
 |
 |
And one happy pilot took home a prize in the competition
as well as a Helicopter 'A' certificate - well done!
The event was very well organised and run, it was
great fun, thanks to UMAC and all who took part. |
